Are you looking for the best a la carte restaurant north of Pretoria try ours, with panoramic views of the bushveld. While you dine watch the beautiful sunbirds gathering nectar from the tecoma plants or elegant herons fishing in the dam, this is a birdwatchers paradise from the restaurant you are likely to see crimson breasted shrikes, pied babblers, southern bou-bous and many other sought after bird species and the big bonus the food is just as amazing. Come for a Saturday breakfast and stay until dinner or bring your Sunday paper and just enjoy the tranquility of a bushveld garden before you tuck into a tummy filling lunch. We also have a very large selection of wines to go with the great cuisine. Try our meals and have something to talk about on the way home.

Romantic Picnics

Have a picnic in your own little secluded spot at the lodge. A double hammock for that quiet little snooze. And your own picnic table under the trees. Ideal for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or for that special time when you have to pop the question.  All picnics from 11am to 4pm. All bookings at least 24 hours in advance

We have a number of picnic options available for you:-

The Basic Picnic –       a basket with bread, cheese and wine.

R275 per person

The Gourmet Picnic – a basket of cold meats, salads, fruit and yoghurts and a bottle of wine.

R375 per person.

The Luxury Picnic –    a basket with roast chicken and salad, cheese and biscuits, fruit and yoghurts,

a lovely dessert, fruit juice, waters and a bottle of wine.

Fishing

Many hundreds of people of all ages have caught their first fish at Tamboti Bush Lodge. We have two lovely dams and they are loaded with Barbels, Mozambican tilapia (Kurpers) and Carp. This is a catch and release program, we supply the rods and dough bait or you can bring along your own rods, if you have access to worms then bring some along.                                    R50 per person per day.

Tamboti Boma & Bushveld Braai

We have a lovely boma at the lodge.  We will do the braai for you of rump steak, wors, pap tart and salad and finished off with ice cream and chocolate sauce . After the braai enjoy a quiet evening at the fireside.

Order the Tamboti Wellness box containing the full body massage cushion, the infra red foot massager and the electronic pulse foot massager.

The Micro Computer Massage Cushion  This massager can improve your metabolism and blood flow and eliminate fatigue. The massage also has a healing effect on many chronic diseases such as chronic headache, chronic shoulder and elbow inflammation, chronic gastritis, neurasthenia and insomnia.

The infra-red foot massager, a reflexology machine with 12 different functions.

The electronic pulse sole massager will help to take away all of your bodies aches and pains.

Mystic Monkeys and Feathers Wildlife Park *

Approx 20 km from Tamboti is the Mystic monkeys and feathers wild life Park see the biggest collection of monkeys and parrot species in South Africa. Spend a morning with these amazing animals, see the baby chimps, lions or tigers and then visit their moms and dads.

Micro light Safaris  *

See the bushveld from a new perspective.   A game tour with a difference.     Booking essential and weather permitting

R 350 per person for a half an hour R700 per person for a full hour.

Horse Back Safari’s *

Take a wonderful ride through the bushveld on the back of a horse white viewing Game in the Reserve , with an experienced guide, enjoy the quietness and tranquillity of the bushveld.  Own horses also welcome.

  R150 per person for 1 hr  / R250 per person for 2 hrs  /  R350 per person for 3 hrs

Clay Pigeon Shooting *

Enjoy an opportunity to do some clay pigeon shooting in the bush.

R175 per person.  (10 shots per person.)
