Wedding at Tamboti Bush Lodge
Weddings-Tamboti.co.za was formed when the Tamboti bushveld Lodge and The Travelling Bride came together and married ideas that simply grew and grew into what it is today. The package started off very small and was offered to bridal couples who simply wanted to elope under the African skies. Very quickly, more and more couples were begging to have guests attend their wedding or renewal of vows, and before we knew it, the package had grown to a capacity of 60 guests.

How we made it happen…
Derrick and Pixie from the Tamboti Lodge, together with Marrilyn, Leon, Rene and Candice from Travelling Bride, exchanged ideas and Derrick immediately built a stunning, romantic little chapel surrounded by trees and bush, especially for the weddings in the bushveld. Pixie pulled out her sewing machine and started making chair covers and tie backs, table cloths and even paving the bridal pathway with white washed stones to add to the picture perfect setting. Fairylights and lanterns were added as was so much more and both Derrick and Pixie became well known to bridal couples throughout South Africa and abroad for being the most perfect hosts any young couple could wish for. Always going the extra mile, Derrick even walks the bride to the chapel to meet her groom, if her dad is not available. For couples who have guests, the luxury bushveld braai has become extremely popular and an absolute “not to be missed”.

As you walk down the entrance to Tamboti Bush Lodge, you will immediately have a sense of peace and tranquility wash over you and you just know that this is not your everyday bushveld lodge. It’s also a big reason why honeymoons, anniversaries and romantic weekends have become so popular. Tamboti Bush Lodge is in the middle of the proposed Dinokeng Game Reserve opening 2nd quarter 2010. The area is malaria free and is only one hours drive from Johannesburg. The N1 Highway takes you to just 6 kms from the game reserve gates and 10 kms from Tamboti Bush Lodge. 30km’s North of Pretoria, making it one of the most favoured bushveld wedding settings throughout the Gauteng area.
